Operations & Guest Experience

Raised on a charter sailing ship in the Netherlands, tourism, hospitality and adventure have been part of Martine’s life from the very beginning. After years of managing hospitality operations, safari camps and lodges in several African countries, she joined Motor Adventures in 2020.

Martine is one of the main points of contact for our guests, looking after everything from enquiries and bookings to the countless details that go into making a tour run smoothly. Once guests arrive in Morocco, she also works behind the scenes to make sure everyone is well looked after and that any unexpected challenges are quickly sorted out.

Martine holds offshore Medical First Aid and Medical Care certificates, giving her valuable medical training for situations where professional help may not be immediately available, particularly when travelling through Morocco’s more remote areas.

Alongside Motor Adventures, Martine is the proud co-owner of our sister company, Desert Rats. She oversees the day-to-day operations and also swaps the laptop for a helmet to guide Desert Rats motorcycle tours through Morocco.

Martine speaks Dutch, English and German, adding another three languages to the Motor Adventures team’s international mix.
