Your Safety on Our Morocco & South Africa Adventure Tours

Your safety on our Morocco off-road toursand South Africa adventure tours is extremely important to us. It’s a non-negotiable issue that we continue investing time and money in. This allows us to offer you the best possible service and experience with complete peace of mind.

Off-road and Adventure Tours with GPS: Follow the Purple Line!

We take your safety seriously on every off-road adventure, and reliable navigation is an essential part of all our tours.

For many years, we equipped our bikes with Garmin Montana GPS units. As technology has moved forward, so have we. We have now upgraded our navigation system across our fleet to rugged Android smartphones, providing a more modern and versatile navigation solution.

Our motorcycles, Can-Am buggies and 4x4s are all equipped with rugged Android navigation phones. Each device is securely mounted using a custom-made heavy-duty holder designed specifically to withstand the vibrations, impacts and demanding conditions of off-road riding and driving. The phones are powered directly from the vehicle via a USB charging cable, helping to keep them charged throughout the day.

The result is a durable, easy-to-use navigation system designed to cope with the dust, heat, vibration and challenging terrain that comes with a Motor Adventures tour. The navigation equipment is provided free of charge as part of your experience.

Each morning, we load that day’s route onto the navigation devices before setting off. For our bike riders, this provides a degree of freedom rather than requiring everyone to ride in a tight group behind the guide. Faster riders can move ahead, while others can ride at a pace they feel comfortable with.

We set regular regrouping points along the route, and our support vehicle follows behind the group. This allows riders to spread out and leave plenty of space between each other, which is particularly useful in dusty conditions.

Our buggy tours operate a little differently. Buggies must always follow the guide and are not permitted to drive the route independently. However, because every buggy has its own navigation device showing the route, drivers don’t need to stay immediately behind the guide or the buggy in front. They can leave a comfortable distance between vehicles while still clearly seeing where the route is going. This makes a big difference in dusty conditions, allowing the dust ahead to settle and giving everyone a clearer, more comfortable drive.

Our routes are regularly checked and updated before each season. We are constantly looking for ways to maximise the amount of off-road riding on our tours and minimise unnecessary asphalt. Our team also explores new tracks and trails throughout Morocco, helping us keep our routes varied and giving returning guests the opportunity to discover new terrain and destinations.

Navigation is an important part of our tour system, which is why our motorcycles, buggies and 4x4s are equipped with rugged Android navigation devices. Combined with regular regrouping points and the support of our guides and crew, they provide reliable navigation throughout the journey, including in some of the most remote areas of Morocco.

Safety and support extend well beyond navigation. On our tours, our support vehicles carry a comprehensive professional medical kit, including a defibrillator, vacuum splints and oxygen. They are also equipped with essential equipment such as an air compressor and a fridge, helping our team provide practical support throughout the journey, even when travelling through remote parts of Morocco.

Support & Back-up Vehicles on Our Morocco & South Africa Tours

When out on our off-road tours, our mechanic will normally travel in the support vehicle. We have a Fiat Fullback adapted to be able to carry a bike should it be necessary. It is fully equipped with our medical equipment, such as a vacuum stretcher, defibrillator, splints, oxygen, a very extensive first aid box, a fridge, a compressor, tools, and spare parts for the bikes. We can use a Toyota Land Cruiser, or similar if we need a people carrier.

On our adventure tours, our fully equipped assistance vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser or similar, provides support for the riders and carries the 4×4 passengers and any pillion wanting some time off their bike.
