What Vehicles to Expect on Our Morocco Buggy Tours

Have our buggy tours in Morocco stirred your sense of adventure? In all the excitement, you may wonder what kind of vehicles you can expect to drive on these thrilling off-road experiences in Morocco.

At Motor Adventures, we operate a fleet of 13 Can-Am Maverick buggies, with both two- and four-seater models. Our fleet includes Can-Am Maverick Sport 1000R buggies and the much more powerful Can-Am Maverick X3. However, these two types of buggy are used for very different tours.

Can-Am Maverick Sport 1000R

Our Can-Am Maverick Sport 1000R buggies are used on our regular scheduled tours and are the buggies you can book online through our website.

The Sport 1000R is an extremely capable and versatile off-road buggy, making it ideal for the wide variety of terrain found on our regular Morocco tours. Depending on the itinerary, this can include rocky mountain tracks, sandy riverbeds, desert trails, open plateaus, gravel tracks and sections of sand and dunes.

You don’t need previous off-road buggy experience to drive a Maverick Sport 1000R on one of our regular tours. You simply need a valid car driving licence and should be comfortable driving in challenging off-road conditions.

Can-Am Maverick X3

Our Can-Am Maverick X3 buggies are reserved exclusively for dedicated private tours and cannot be booked on our regular scheduled tours.

The X3 is a very different machine from the Sport 1000R. It is a high-performance, rally-style buggy designed for speed and performance in open desert terrain. Because of its considerably greater performance and capabilities, our X3 tours are only available to participants who have previously completed a Motor Adventures buggy tour with us and have demonstrated the experience and driving ability required to handle these machines safely.

Our X3 tours also use specially designed routes rather than the routes used for our regular buggy tours. These itineraries concentrate mainly on sand, dunes and fast open plateaus, allowing the X3s to be driven on the terrain for which they are best suited. Rocky and highly technical terrain is deliberately avoided, as the X3 does not handle rocky terrain as well as the more versatile Maverick Sport 1000R.

So, if you are joining us for your first Motor Adventures buggy tour, you’ll be driving one of our Can-Am Maverick Sport 1000Rs. Once you have gained experience with us, a private Maverick X3 adventure may be the next step!

In addition to our Can-Am fleet, we also operate our bikes — six KTM 450 EXCs and six GasGas EC 450s.

Our dedicated buggy mechanic works alongside our team to keep every vehicle properly maintained and in excellent working condition, helping to ensure both your safety and your enjoyment throughout the tour.

The Gear You Need on Our Buggy Tours in Morocco

You don’t need any off-road experience to join our buggy off-road tours, but you must have a valid car driver’s license. You must also bring the following gear to ensure a safe, comfortable, and thrilling ride:

• Full-face MX helmet with goggles or visor (can be provided by us as well)
• Long trousers
• Long-sleeve shirt
• Comfortable shoes
• Gloves

Take note… You will get dusty and sand will get everywhere, so having the right gear is essential!
